Bear Grease Christmas Special
presented by
Making Treaty 7 and The GRAND

Do you think Grease is the word? Then get ready for BEAR GREASE!

This hilarious, Indigenous twist on the classic 1978 musical “Grease" was written on the Enoch Cree Nation in Treaty 6 near Edmonton, Alberta by Hip Hop Duo “LightningCloud”. BEAR GREASE features an all Indigenous cast, who reimagined this beloved musical with plenty of native cultural humour and pride. Come with your singing voices ready to rock and roll for this night of Indigenized musical theatre. And dress in your best 50's outfit for photos with the Pink Aunties after the show!

You won't want to miss this one-of-a-kind theatrical performance that has SOLD OUT theatres across Edmonton, Calgary, and a USA tour including Colorado, Las Vegas and California.

A priority of Making Treaty 7 is to ensure we produce high-quality productions that are accessible to everyone. This year, for the first time, we are adopting a Pay What You Can Afford model.

This model includes three different prices for tickets - $15, $45, or $75. People can purchase any combination without restrictions. All tickets are general admission and do not require proof of age or student enrolment.

The new pricing model was created with the intent of increasing accessibility of programming to allow a larger number of audiences to be able to attend our performances, including seniors, students and other artists.
